The repair of the vessels from evil, albeit incomplete.

TL;DR

The repair proceeds level by level. Sparks are selected and cleansed; Beriyah, Yetzirah, Asiyah (BYA)-of-Nekudim becomes Atzilut, Beriyah, Yetzirah, Asiyah (ABYA) proper; Malchut is robbed (incomplete) and awaits man's repair.

Why this chapter exists

Op. 47 is THE REPAIR chapter — the structural counterpart to Op. 46's breaking. The repair is not all at once; it proceeds gradually, level by level. The chapter also names a feature that becomes structurally important for the rest of the book: Malchut robbed. The repair is incomplete in a specific way — one that requires human service to finish.

The argument

The operational mechanism is selection-and-cleansing. The new MaH (gematria 45) from AK's Forehead (forecast at Op. 46, named formally at Op. 54) descends into the broken-and-fallen structures. Each spark is selected — discriminated from the surrounding husks — and cleansed. The cleansed sparks are reassembled into the integrated cosmic structures that produce ABYA proper.

The analogy is the grainpile. A grainpile contains good kernels mixed with chaff. The selection is the gradual, level-by-level work of separating the good from the chaff. The grainpile model captures both the labour of the selection (it is not instantaneous) and the gradual nature of its progress (each level cleaned before the next can be).

Genesis 1:2–3 — and the spirit of God hovered over the waters; and God said, let there be light — is read as cosmogonic narrative of the selection-and-cleansing process. The Four-Letter Names (modes of being) emerge through this work; BYA-of-Nekudim (the unrepaired lower three worlds) becomes ABYA proper (the integrated four worlds with Atzilut at the apex).

The feature Malchut robbed is doctrinally crucial. After the selection-and-cleansing of the Sefirot above, Malchut — the bottom of the cosmic structure — is left incomplete. This is not an accident; it is the structural condition for human service. The hand of Heaven completes the upper repair (the new MaH does this); the hand of man, through service, completes the repair of Malchut. Without Malchut's incompleteness, there would be no operational role for human service; with it, the cycle's middle phase becomes a real working-out of the repair.
