— The Balance: Cooperation Among All the Lights Brings the Complete Repair

TL;DR

This chapter closes the World of Repair unit (Op. 59-69) with the unit's culminating principle: the Balance (matkela) is cooperation among all the lights — each carrying out its repairs while taking the others into account — collectively producing a repaired government. The entire order depends on these laws in all their details (= the Partzufim governing the worlds). One cycle of the entire creation; at its end lies the law of general perfection. Everything will end in goodness and complete perfection — only good with no further evil; the cycle fixed for good; no further destruction; all damage repaired; from then on, only good.

Before you start

• The Balance is cooperation. Throughout the unit, matkela has been variously characterized: joining of MaH and BaN (Op. 59), fixing the relative proportion of MaH-and-BaN parts in each Partzuf (Op. 65). Op. 69 gives the culminating definition: the Balance is cooperation among all the lights — each light carries out its repairs taking the others into account. This is the meta-principle of the entire repair: every operational detail is one cooperative move within one consensus system.
• "Not each power for itself alone." This is the chapter's most important ethical-cosmological statement. Reshut harabim (Op. 52) was the broken state — each Sefirah a separate matter — no interrelation. Reshut hayachid is the rectified state — facing columns + consensus governance (Op. 59). At its end lies the law of general perfection — the not-yet-given law that will totally negate evil (Op. 37 ¶10). Everything calculated to reach this end. Op. 69 closes by naming the end: only good with no further evil; cycle fixed for good; no further destruction; from then on, only good.
• The Partzufim govern the worlds. The entire order depends on these laws in all their details — i.e., upon the Partzufim, which govern the worlds. The Partzufim are not abstractions.
