TL;DR

This chapter specifies the precise division of labor between Male and Female aspects in the operational repair of MaH and BaN. Two parts: (Part 1) From the totality of broken-and-descended Sefirot, parts that are to be selected go through sorting and selection; the vessels ascend to receive their lights in Atzilut (the second Atzilut of ABYA — the upper part of the original Beriyah, since the vessels' descent is reversed and they ascend to serve as the government of the new Atzilut). This is through the Female aspect, which lifts them up in all the details (the Female differentiates details). Descending toward them: levels of MaH (vessel and light); they join with themMale aspect channels them, puts them in the Female. Apparent contradiction with Op. 61 (MaH selects from BaN, but here BaN is where selection happens) resolved: the original arrangement was made by MaH at the outset (which part of MaH suited which part of BaN); mechanism = drop of AK's Male Waters (Op. 60) sweetening Primordial Kings; from this foundation emerged the Reisha delo ityeda ("Head that is not Known"). Afterwards, the overall Nukva selects what's suitable per the original division. Male channels in particulars; Female delineates form (Op. 63 Part 2) — gives form even to Male's contribution. This is the unit's sixth chapter — Op. 63 stated the two-generators principle; Op. 64 specifies the operational division of labor in the actual channeling and repair: who lifts, who descends, who repairs which side, and why MaH and BaN have the structural relations they do (Line vs. Residue).

Synthesis

Op. 64 specifies the precise division of labor between Male and Female aspects in the operational repair of MaH and BaN. Part 1 tracks the channeling. From the totality of broken-and-descended Sefirot, parts to be selected go through sorting and selection; the vessels ascend to receive their lights in Atzilut (the second Atzilut of ABYA — the upper part of the original Beriyah, since the post-breaking architecture has rearranged the levels — for the vessels, this is ascent). This ascent is through the Female aspect, which lifts them up in all the detailsthe nature of the Female is to differentiate all the details. Descending toward them: levels of MaH (Male Waters; vessel and light); they join with the ascending vessels — the Male aspect channels them and puts them in the Female. The intention: MaH and BaN joined in one, literally one body, not two separate bodies. The apparent contradiction with Op. 61 (where MaH chooses from BaN, but here BaN-side is where selection happens) is resolved by distinguishing two phases: the original arrangement was made by MaH at the outset — the drop of AK's Male Waters that sweetened the Primordial Kings (Op. 60) — and from that foundation emerged the Reisha delo ityeda (the Head that is not Known); the actual selection by Nukva afterwards proceeds via the service of the lower creations. The chapter's most important technical doctrine: MaH = Line-aspect; BaN = Residue-aspect (Op. 27). Both are lights from Adam Kadmon; both contain vessel and light; but MaH is made to display the Line, BaN made to display the Residue. Within each, light is always from the Line and vessel always from the Residue. The reason for this pathway: we need to arrive at man below + material creations (image of governmental order); the Residue is the differentiation of the Line (Op. 27 Part 3, soul-body). Male channels MaH (overall form); Female channels BaN (details of form); the offspring takes form in the Female. Part 2 resolves another ARI-contradiction: Mevo Shearim II, Part 3 ch. 4 says the Nukva elevates BaN while the Male brings down MaH; but Etz Chayim, Shaar Orot-Nitzotzot-Kelim ch. 1 (three days of conception) + Ramchal, Klalut HaIlan HaKadosh 4:2 say Abba selects BaN's right-hand parts and Imma the left.
