Op. 120 maps Zeir Anpin (Z"A)'s three construction-stages onto the standard Lurianic NRN scale. The mapping connects Z"A's specific construction to the general Lurianic scheme of soul-levels (Nefesh, Ruach, Neshamah) — making the construction one specific instance of a broader Lurianic pattern.
Pregnancy corresponds to Nefesh — the basic vital level. During pregnancy, Z"A receives only Nefesh-level radiation; the Mochin are present in their most basic form.
Suckling corresponds to Ruach — the spirit level. During suckling, Z"A's Ruach is articulated; the Mochin acquire greater depth.
Maturity corresponds to Neshamah — the higher soul level. At maturity, Z"A's full Mental Powers are operative.
The NRN scale generalises throughout Lurianic literature. Z"A's construction is therefore not a unique cosmogonic event but one instance of a general Lurianic pattern that applies to the construction of any cosmic-spiritual structure.
