A"A intrinsically operates with complete Kindness. The branches that emerge from A"A operate with Justice. Two distinct operational modes from a single root.
Op. 91 distinguishes A"A's intrinsic operational mode from the operational mode of its branches. The same Partzuf that is complete Kindness in itself produces Justice in its branches. Klach's reader needs to see how one root produces two operational modes without contradiction.
A"A in itself is unmitigated mercy — long of patience, the operational form of Kindness without admixture. This is the intrinsic mode: A"A as it is in itself, without yet considering its operational descent into the rest of Atzilut.
When A"A radiates downward into its branches — Abba, Imma, Zeir Anpin (Z"A), Nukva — the operational mode shifts. The branches need Justice to operate at their level (the cosmic government's deed-relevant level, where consequence and limit are required). A"A's complete Kindness passes through its branches, becoming Justice as it descends.
This is not a change in A"A; it is a structural feature of how a higher operational mode produces a lower one. The same logic operates at every cosmic level: the higher mode is less differentiated; the lower mode is more differentiated and more limited.
Op. 92 will show that Z"A — Justice — comes from A"A — beneficence — and is therefore entirely for good. The branches' Justice retains the source's Kindness as its underlying purpose.
